STAPLERFAHRER (NL) is another name of Steffan de Turck. The sounds he creates range from abstract to near rapturous noise. This is not easy listening and attention to detail is required to fully appreciate the rich, diverse, and often complex tapestry of sounds that he offers. FRANZ FJODOR (CH) was born in Sinferopol, Ukraine into a family of mathematicians where he precociously showed signs of his talent at a very early age. At the age of ten Franz began his studies at the world famous Surikov Art School for exceptionally gifted children located just opposite to the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow. After three years of hard labour his parents took him to Bern, Switserland where he studied the cello and went to university college. He's currently living in the city of Tilburg (The Netherlands) and busy with all kinds of

NEUROBIT (NL) is the 8 bit improvisation project of Dutch breakcore dj Rioteer. Armed with an old Monochrome gameboy and some effects he trills the crowd time after time. This is a bit of dancing, a bit of listening but most of the time a bit of 8 bit power! At Salon Bruit Neurobit will get some help by Bas Verbeek, a dutch writer and the brain behind The Day The Black Man Died. Together they'll drone! Thats a promiss!

4 Bands, 4 Künstler, 1 Sound - die Idee mit 4 Bands auf Tour zu gehen bot sich letztes Jahr anlässlich der Veröffenlichung des One Man Drone 12" Samplers (P.B.B./Mayo Rec.). Im September 2006 tourten Tamagawa, Shit, b°tong & Oldine durch Frankreich und Spanien mit ihren Drones and Clicks and Tones. Nun folgt die Fortsetzung, One Man Drone II:

B°TONG ist aus Basel und ehemaliges Mitglied von NID (siehe:
www.nid-musik.com), welche von 1995 bis 2005 wirkten, und sich zu F.T.B.P.D. und B°TONG weiterentwickelten. Die Musik von b°tong ist zwischen Lustmord, Throbbing Gristle und moderner Electronik anzusiedeln. B°Tong spielte u.a. an den letztjährigen Sinus-Series Basel (mit solch bekannten Künstlern wie: Thomas Köner, Andreas Gorlinski, Skoltz_Kolgen, Laptoporchester), und er war „Headliner“ am Ausklang Festival in Hamburg Dezember 2006. Live benutzt er nebst diversen Effektgeräten und Dr. Sample; Grill, Elektromotor, Ventilator und andere lustige Sachen mit welchen er Töne produzieren kann. TAMAGAWA ist aus St. Etienne, er war früher Gitarrist bei Oursonik und ist der Label-Boss von Mayo Records. Seine Musik ist inspiriert von Sunn O))), La Monte Young und Merzbow. Er spielt dronige Gitarrenriffe zu ambienten Loops. Er benutzt Gitarre, Synthesizer und verschiedene Effektgeräte. Veröffentlichungen auf diversen Sampler.

SHIT ist Mitglied der in Frankreich bekannten Crust-Core Band Vomit For Breakfast. Er ist aus St. Etienne, und spielt nebst diverser elektronischer Geräte (u.a. ein selbst gebasteltes Theremin) Gitarre, mit welcher er den Noise zelebriert. Viele selbst veröffentlichte limitierte Tonträger. Keine Info und kein Sound auf dem Netz.

OLDINE ist aus Paris und Macher des Cri De La Harpe Label. Er spielt Gitarre
und bastelt instrumentale Spacemen 3-ähnliche Melodien und Loops. Ruhige
sphärische und meditative Klänge...

Rob Curgenven (AUS): field recordings, prerecorded piano
Derek Holzer (USA): analog synthesizer, pure data improvisation for field recordings and analog synthesizer.

Holzer and Curgenven both draw upon their diverse backgrounds in field recording, sound art, modern composition, noise and experimental music to create this live sonic environment. Their improvisations focus on the interrelation of Curgenven's detailed recordings from the Australian Outback and a selection of prerecorded piano resonances juxtaposed with Holzer's slowly modulated, shimmering and crackling synthesizer tones.
The combination of these sources poses the question: what is "real", what is "constructed"? Where is the border between the actual sound event, its digital reproduction and its sonic simulation?
