Mahmoud Refat (Egypt)Mahmoud Refat is a sound artist, musician and the founder of 100COPIES MUSIC. He was born in 1974 and lives in Cairo whose work has been released on CD, performed live and installed in spaces. His first CD release "SHIFT" is an experimental electronic album released by Swiss music label ‘Leerraum’ following a residency and concert tour in Switzerland. For the concept album "Construction Sonor" 2003 he experimented with field recordings from the Gotthard tunnel construction. Mangrove Kipling (France/Berlin)
Mangrove Kipling works on guitar-based sampling, electronic wastes and accidents, and field recordings, using and diverting common sounds that are normally ignored or not given attention because too small, too short, or too mixed into the general urban sound-smog. Active member of Salon Bruit in Berlin and a few other musical formations and bands. Grounded the label 'apostrov with Sciss in 2004.
