Friday May 22nd 2009 in K77

We present you this Friday a very exciting pair of acts coming from U.S.A., Germany and Poland respectively. We are hoping to see you come along down and enjoy this musical festival for the ears which we have. On this evening shall be performing for your listening pleasures the following....

Furtur (USA/D)

Fritz Welch (percussion, voice)
Guido Henneboehl (electronics)

Two men reel out of a cantina and pull nasty little 25 automatics from inside belt holsters and empty them into each other at a distance of four feet. Smoke flashes light the sneering macho faces, suddenly gray with the realization of death. They lurch and stagger, eyes wild like panicked horses. Pistols fall from nerveless fingers. One is slumped on the curb spitting blood. The other is kicking the soles of his boots out against a wall.

Kurort (Poland)

Improv Del Mar for out-of-season beaches & bitches

Pawel Bukowski - acoustic & bass guitars
Patryk Lichota - saxophone with preparations
Piotr Tkacz - objects

Kurort is a polish trio which plays freely improvised music evoking dolce far niente atmosphere. Our playing is inspired (among other things) by riding a bike in a forest, swimming in a lake, sun-bathing, color of fresh strawberries, smell of the sea, feeling the sand under feet, sound of the wind in the morning.

After the performance there will be a possibility to do a barter exchange - give us something from you and we will give you some cds with our sounds.
